Want this man to live...Oh, that was a trick question, wasn't it? Good thing he hadn't said that outloud.
"Handrill? Right. On it." He said, standing up and heading towards the back of the house.
There was a shed outside, which he'd seen earlier. He headed out to that, kicking the door in without even bothering to check if it was open in the first place. It was dark inside, but that wasn't bad. He rumaged through the shelves, wondering exactly what a powerdrill looked like.
He hoped it ws the gun thing with the long needle at the end. Which moved with a cool sound as he pressed a button. It looked right, anyway. He took it, heading back towards the house at a run. Three minutes, that was how long it had taken to get it. He was early. And he hadn't killed anyone to get it.
"There, hope that right," he said, dropping into a crouch again beside the blonde man.

Jack had left Davey in the recovery position and helped Rose secure Mrs Jackson.
"What the HELL are you doing?!" he shouted, seeing the drill being passed from John to Jared, "Please tell me he just knocked a picture off the wall and you are re hanging it..." he knew there was no chance of that but the other option didn't even need considering.

"Combat surgeon," Jared barked up at Jack. "Casualty is suffering an inter-cranial bleed. You want him to live? glove up and help me or stay out of my way."
Jared had already fended back the paramedics after taking their kit and rummaging through for the pieces he needed. "I need a pair of steady hands, That's not you John, sorry. So am I waiting for Rose, Jack?"

Jack glared at Jared for a second, then glanced down to the prone figure of Andy.
He snapped on some latex powdered gloves and bent over the Welshman, "I expect less of that tone, Doctor..." Jack bit, he knew they were all stressed but he was still leading them.
"What do you want me to do?"

"Oi!" John couldn't help but exclaim, istantly picking up on the part of that exchange which mattered the least, "I have very steady hands."
Although, he wasn't complaining. He could use a drill to kill someone, sure, and depending on how annoying they were it could even be fun. But...to save someone? How intriging.
And anyway, Jack looked fairly annoyed and that was always entertaining.
"Anything you want me to do, doc? Or can I just watch?"

Jared tilted Andy's head slightly exposing the skin behind his ear. He wiped the disinfectant sheet about quickly and pointed with the scalpel where Jack should ready his hands.
"I'm going to make a small incision, I need you to hold the incision open and the skull steady. The next step, precision is critical."
He cut decisively and set the blade aside. "Get ready, Captain. John, hand it over." Jared reached up not noticing the blood on his pale blue glove as he reached for the drill.

John handed the drill over carefully (extra carefully, if he was honest, just to show that he could have steady hands), before shifting further away. Working in tight conditions was never good. Apparantly. He'd always found it entertaining, but he was a killer, and this guy did the opposite. So it stood to reason, really.
"Don't you need to clean this, or something? That shed wasn't exactly...spotless," he said absently, tilting his head to watch, and not really caring whether he was saying a loud of shit. This was interesting, after all.

Jack reached into his greatcoat and pulled out a small flask and unscrewed it, waving it in front of Jared.
"Hypervodka, it'll sterilise anything... apart from me..." he winked, casting a glance and wry grin to John. "John, can you go and give Rose a hand, help her bring Mrs Jackson downstairs and out to the officers, that way they wont be traipsing over here while the good doctor here is trying to work."

Jared tilted the drill so the liquid would run off the tip of the bit. "Can't hurt. Deep breath close your eyes, and for the love of Pete, don't move."
He took a breath himself and carefully focused on drilling to the precise depth, and backing out with steady hands. "Now the shunt to let it drain, and we get ready with the sedative." he carefully set all the pieces aside before deftly bandaging his work in place.
"Keep him calm as he comes back round," he asked Jack as he found the right vial in the med kit and drew up enough sedative to get Andy Davidson to hospital. "Now that the pressures coming off his brain he's gonna wake up quickly."

John had ignored Jack, or at least, made a in-a-minute sign at him, in preference for watching the doctor. His head was tilted to one side and he looked interested...because that had been interestingly gruesome and apparantly life saving.
"That was cool."
He didn't even complain that Jack hadn't told him he had hypervodka.
"So, he's alright now?" he asked, brow crinkling slightly in thought, "Drill a hole in his skull and it saves him? Bloody hell, that's clever."

"Not exactly," Jared answered John. "To be precises, we drill the hole in his skull in just the right place, drug him out of his mind, use Rose's ice to lower his body temperature and slow the damage and buy Dr. Chatsky in A & E time to save his life, and brain and all that good stuff."
Jared scowled up at the pair of medics with the gurney, coming to collect Andy. "No, he's not seeing Johnson, call in Chatsky. Johnson's an ass, Chatsky knows which end of a scalpel she should hold."
"John, Rose, move the ice to the ambulance, get it as close to Officer Davidson as you can without putting it right on his skin." He realized he was talking like a surgeon to people who didn't understand. "Please. Thank you."

Jack handed the drill to John, "Don't get any clever ideas..." he warned, revving the drill a couple of times in the Captains direction in mock threat.
"Are you going with him?" he asked the Doctor, he could see how focussed the man was but wasn't sure whether he would choose to go with Andy, or back to Davey who was still apparently out cold upstairs.

"The thought hadn't even crossed my mind," John smirked, revving the drill once before getting to his feet, grabbing some of the ice in his other hand. And then putting the drill in the inside pocket of his jacket, where it stood out quite a bit, but hey, he'd just learnt they could be useful.
He started towards the ambulance with the ice, intending to do what Jared had said, if only to see inside the vehicle, but then backtracked.
"You can go with him? Can I? Ain't seen the hospital yet. Or been in one of these. They look more interesting than police cars."

"I need to see to Daffyd," Jared decided. "Andy's in good hands."
He'd go round to see the man later. He hoped that Andy would still want to speak to him later. The hospital was likely to say all manner of crap about what Jared had just done.
"Sorry for the bossy," he told everybody. "Old habits die hard."

"Okay John, you go with Andy. NO getting into trouble and no alcohol, drugs or killing anyone unless I specifically tell you to." he really did feel like it needed to be said, just to be on the safe side.
"Davey's up here..." Jack gestured back up the stairs. "He's been out cold a while but pulse is strong. He started mumbling a while back too."
