This was it.
Davey blinked, shifting his eyes to get used to the almost non existent feeling of the high tech contact lenses he was wearing, he had admittedly been shocked when he was shown how they worked, wired for vision and sound without being wired at all. He was currently sat in the back of a black expensive looking SUV with Captain Jack Harkness, another bloke who he had taken a dislike to and Jared.
Sucking in a deep breath Davey blinked again, concious of the lenses and over compensating for them being in place. Of course Jack noticed and called him up on it but he just took it and kept quiet, the plan running through his head over and over again. Could he get the evidence he needed to keep his younger siblings safe and sound finally, or would it end in another beating - or worse.
He looked at Jared and tried to push down the fear he was feeling, tried to slip the bravado and cocky nature back into place. "So what are you going to be doing while I'm doing all the work, sitting on your arse doing nothing as usual?"

First outting with Torchwood and they were using a child. Oh she and Jack were going to have to speak about this.
"Well I don't know what those two will be doing, but I'm your back up," she told him with a soft smile, one she used with wariy aliens who didn't know what to make of a strange Blue Box on the front stoop. "And if anything should go pear shaped, I'll come in and kick some arse," she grinned and shrugged.
"Believe me, Davey, No one will put a hand on you again. I'll shoot it off first," she told him, as she finished loading her gun. "Though what I shoot is up for debate, but I never miss," she winked and tossed an arm around his shoulder.

Jack parked the SUV and booted up the mobile monitoring on the contact lenses Davey was currently wearing.
"You..." he said to Rose "are not shooting anyone unless I give you express permission..." he said, he made a mental note to get Jared to carry out a physical exam on her so he knew at what time of the month to confiscate her gun and any sharp objects.
"Davey, we're all set here. It's time to go..."

"For someone who travelled with the gun hating Time Lord, someone sure is trigger happy..." John muttered, not looking up from the game he was playing on his PSP thing. It was fun.
He was sprawled in the front seat, combat boots up on the dashboard and legs crossed at the ankles of his leather pants. He liked the clothes of this century. The punky ones anyway. Coupled with the game thing and the fact he wasn't paying attention, you'd think he was just tagging along innocently for a free ride. Which he was. And because it could be quite fun.

Rose raised an eyebrow at Jack, "I won't shoot anything important, or that will bleed heavily," she told him before reaching over to bob the blonde guy on the head.
"The Doctor wasnt' against guns, he just didn't use one. You've never seen him go a wee bit off have you?" she asked and shook her head, tucking her gun in its holster. "He told the Sycorax when they invaded on Christmas a few years ago "No second chances. I'm that sort of man." Well, anyone who hurts a child doesn't get second chances." she was looking straight at Jack when she said that. "I know how to obey orders, but I also know that it's better to grovel for forgivness than beg for permission."
Oh She wasnt' going to actually shoot anyone unless given the word, but if it came down to shoot someone or let Davey get hurt beyond repair she would shoot.
Rewrapping her arm around Davey's shoulder she squeezed a bit and stood there, waiting for word one way or the other.
"And any comments about my dubious sanity need not be made. I've heard them all, Mum was especially good at giving them..." she smiled and took her gun out, showing Jack as she motioned to her saftey. It was on and going to stay that way unless absolutely necissary.
She wouldn't disobey him, she knew how to take orders, she just wanted Jack to understand that she had her own set of moral beliefs and if it came down to it she wouldn't shove them under a rug unless absolutely necissary.

"Can we all put our own issues in our back pockets and focus on Daffyd, please?" Jared asked in a mildly grumpy voice.
"Jack, where are you posting each of us?" Jared had his service issue sniper's rifle in it's case in the boot. It would take less than five minutes for him to set up along any of the rooftops. Even less than that to get back to the SUV. He felt ready.

Jack raised his eyebrow at Jared's little outburst but understood it. The man was protective of the boy for his own reasons and was snapping out of frustration for the situation they were in, he made a note to speak to Jared after this was all over and offer an ear but for now...
"Okay, I want John with me on backup. Rose, get a feel for the street but stay in communication over the comm and within visible identification of the house. Jared..." he paused and made the effort to turn in the car seat to give eye contact to the doctor, "I want you on point, blend in as best you can but be ready. I will call on you first if anything happens."

"Point?" Jared said in surprise at first. "Okay." He could call the shots with Jack watching over his shoulder. All in all it was a good call for his boss to keep him busy and focused on the whole.
He pointed to the bit of map folded on the console between the two front seats. "I'll take up a station here, then." If he couldn't be on a rooftop, he could stand around and look like someone pushing drugs.
"Where's everybody else going? Don't want to be looking around for each other if we have to move fast."

Nodding Rose peered out at the street and shook her head, "I swear I've been here before," she muttered and smiled at Davey and Jack.
"Sorry, Dr. Baker," she shrugged and looked back. "I won't go too far, just far enough to look less suspicous..."

Racing cars around a little track was a hell of a lot more difficult than it rightly should be, especially with the banana's being thrown everywhere. But he was winning, and had won, and let out a delighted cry once the falling stars announced him as a winner. And then glanced up at the others, realising that he probably should be paying attention.
"Backup? I can do that," and then, almost as an afterthought, "Don't mind me, just killing some time here."
It was, no doubt, the most killing he'd get today. Although, he wasn't sure. Would he be allowed to kill people? He'd have to wait and see. But they were all talking about moving, and he was quite happy in this seat for the moment. He'd let them work out the details. That was planning.

Sometimes Andy really did wonder how subtle they thought they were being as he approached the large black SUV parked a few roads from their desired location in Splott.
For one Splott was an economically down turned area, government money had been poured into it a decade ago but nowadays it looked tired and run down. Of course a larger element of the dubious characters in the area had grown up and either moved away or been detained at Her Majesty's pleasure for the foreseeable future.
Pushing that to the back of his mind for now Andy knocked sharply on the unsubtle and expensive car sticking out like a sore thumb and waited for a response.

Jack pressed the button and watched as the tinted window to the SUV rolled down to reveal one Andy Davidson.
"You're going to try and give me a parking ticket aren't you." Jack dead panned, before getting out of the car and gesturing for everyone else to do the same.
"Is everyone in place?" he asked, and when Andy nodded the affirmative and explained the Police locations and safety point's they all gathered their equipment and made their way down towards Davey's house.

John sighed, quite sadly really as he put the game on pause as he got out of the SUV, glancing around with a semi-interested expression. But it was quite stupid really. A posh, classy car in a run down area and they were meant to be being not noticed? He must have gotten the idea of the plan wrong.
"So, we going in sneaky sneaky, or all guns blazing?" he said cheerfully, putting the PSP in one of his back pockets with only a teeny bit of a struggle. They were tight trousers, after all. "Or hanging around looking like we belong here?"

Davey looked the other man in strange clothes up and down and couldn't stop the snort that escaped his lips.
"You? Fit in around here? As IF!" he said, nervous laughter filling through him as he looked at John's clothing, then Jack's, then the SUV.
He muttered to himself as he slowly walked down the street before doubling back and breathing a little faster.
"You should all hang back and let me go down on my own, if anyone sees you with me they'll know something is up." It was true, he was widely regarded as a loner now and he needed to keep it that way one more time.

Jack looked at himself and then John, they looked good, Hell they looked more than good.
"That's enough..." he said waving a finger at Davey and holding a hand up to silence any sarcastic and barbed comment John had to offer. "Davey's right... as much as I hate to say it Davey needs to go in on his own." Jack turned his attention to Jared, "Ready?"
