"It's called Kri'achi-5. It's a small planet just off the Cat's Eye Nebula. There's woods, water, deserts... But we're headed to the capital city. They have a food and crafts market that runs every day of the year. That's where most people live. Here..."
He handed her a loaded credit stick so she would have money.
"That'll get you started so you can buy a home, food, essentials... you'll soon settle in. Everybody's really friendly."
He looked again at Owen's, frowning a moment with worry but deciding he was probably just getting used to things. He seemed happy enough when the Doctor gave him the TARDIS key anyway, so it couldn't have been anything serious.
He thought he heard the other man say something about Jack, and figured maybe he was homesick. His companions often felt a bit lonely away from home for long amounts of time. He'd given Rose and Martha phones to contact their mothers. He didn't know whether Owen had a family. He hadn't asked. But he knew that the man worked for Torchwood, and that they would miss him. Not that he need necessarily be away. The Doctor did have a time machine after all.
"And... we're here." he said, broken from his thoughts as the console buzzed under his hand, signifying their arrival.

The female nodded gently as the Doctor spoke about the planet, she had heard of it but never knew where it was. She then took the credit stick with a frown. "I cant take this" she muttered to the time lord. Although he carried on talking so she held it tightly to her hand and smiled at the male. "Thank you, both of you" she turned to Owen and smiled at him too.
She felt her stomach churn as the TARDIS landed, she wanted to land but she wanted to go alone, she had asked enough of them already. "I must go, i can find my own way but thank you so much Doctor, Owen" The female walked to the door yet whispered gently in the Doctors ears. "He cares about you, more than you think" she took her hand away from his ear and smiled "As do you"
Without another word she left the TARDIS with a quick wave and a grin before stepping outside, it was beautiful, she knew she was going to love it."Thank you" she muttered again before leaving the blue police box behind and entering the crowd of aliens who were also mixed with humans.
........................................................................................................
The medic smiled at the female and waved to her as she left. "Hope your happy" he yelled after her with a grin. Owen then saw the female whisper to the Doctor before looking in his direction making the male frown, he wondered what they were talking about but decided not to ask. He watched her shut the TARDIS door and leave just him and the Doctor.
"Sorry for being a twat" he finally said, he had wanted to say it for ages but didn't in case it started a fight. "I should of trusted her yet in my line of work 98% of the ones we find want to kill us" Owen tried to explain yet it didn't come out very well, he hoped that the Doctor would understand what he meant though.
He waited for the Doctor to speak then decided to walk to the console with a small frown. "Do you have a shower or a bed of some sorts?" he asked gently. If the Doctor had then he could get rid of his home after all he wasn't using it so he didn't feel that he should pay for it although one of them team could have it for him while he was away.

"Yes you can." the Doctor said firmly, refusing to take the money back.
He could get as much money as he liked so it didn't really matter. He never accepted money himself, but he knew that it was often necessary, and she was going to need it.
"Good luck." he told her softly as she moved closer to speak to him, frowning slightly as she spoke and glancing over at Owen.
He wasn't totally sure what she meant. He knew that Owen did, they were friends, he knew that. Owen hadn't just come here to try and get a free ride, they cared about each other. Maybe she was trying to assure him that he wasn't alone. He smiled at her with a slight nod, watching her go. He was sure she'd be happy, meet somebody, settle down. That was the type of life he could never have but he was sure would be good for her.
"You weren't. People aren't always what they seem, that's all. Maybe you just haven't had that experience, but you'll soon realise that a lot of aliens are more human than you'd realise. I sometimes trust people too easily, so maybe we're a good match. But you should always give people a chance."
He smiled at Owen. He was learning, the Doctor understood that, and he didn't want Owen to feel bad for trying to protect them. The woman could have been about to attack them, he couldn't have known from the beginning.
"Though, no guns on the TARDIS." he said sternly "I'll take your gun and put it somewhere safe while you'll be here. My TARDIS hates weapons, she won't let you anywhere if she thinks you're dangerous. Bathroom's down the hall, left then right then opposite the statue, and there's a few bedrooms; I'm always getting companions that want to use beds."
He had a room himself as well, he had to sleep sometimes. Not as often and regular as humans seemed to, but that was just because he sometimes forgot to.

Owen nodded as the Doctor spoke to him then made an o with his mouth as the male wanted his gun. He shook his head and grabbed his hand to the handle of it, he hadn't been without since being given it unless it had been taken off of him. Yet he didn't need it for the journey that they just had so he would just the Doctor for now. He slowly walked up to the other male and gave him his gun before turning away and following the Doctors directions.
He reached a bedroom and saw and red and golden colored room with a soft double bed in the center. There was a large wardrobe which when he opened revealed hundreds of clothes that all looked about Owens size. "Strange" he muttered to himself before taking a few clothes out. He grabbed some black socks, black boxers, a pair of ripped jeans, a white t shirt and a black hoodie with graffiti marks over it.
The medic then took the clothes into the showed room before stripping off carefully locking the door behind him and climbing into the shower which again was rather large and the water came on automatically. It was fairly warm and the male found some shower gel which he poured onto his hands to use.
Twenty of so minutes later and the male left the shower to dry off. He placed on his boxes and wrapped a towel around his chest before walking to his room and sitting on the bed with the other clothes in his hands. It was another twenty minutes before he returned to the main area of the hub with the Doctor. Owen was now fully clothes and smelt fresh. "Hey thanks, i needed that" he said as he run a hand through his slightly wet hair.

The Doctor sat down on the captain's chair, propping his feet up on the edge of the console and letting Owen find his own way around a part of the ship. The TARDIS was literally huge, but a lot of the rooms were sealed off or only accessible to the Doctor. The TARDIS did of course also have a mind of her own, if it was a slightly unreliable one. Bit like him, really. He truly was closer to his TARDIS than anybody or anything. Firstly because of the telepathic link they shared, and also because of the sheer time they'd spent together, centuries and centuries. He knew that somehow, they cared deeply for each other.
"So, what d'you think of him, old girl?" he murmured softly, turning Owen's gun over in his hands before placing it in a box, locking it and hiding it under the wire grating of the floor "Reckon you could get used to him?"
The TARDIS did seem to favour some of his companions. She had adored Jamie, Adric, Sarah, Rose and Donna, and she'd liked Jack before he became immortal. After a short time of feeling as uncomfortable around Jack as the Doctor was, she seemed to have warmed to him again, possibly because Jack did save her from the Master. Only time would tell how his ship reacted to Owen.
"Oh, hello." he said when Owen returned, with the slightly guilty expression of somebody who'd been caught talking about somebody behind their back.
He didn't know if Owen had heard. The Doctor had been thinking aloud really, rather than having any kind of conversation, particularly when his ship couldn't answer back. Not as such, anyway.

Owen frowned at the Doctor before leaning against the wall that he was closest too. He then shoved his hands in his pockets as he spoke. "You have got a cloak on us right?" he asked with a grin. He expected that the Doctor would of done that already but he wanted to make sure. The male then closed his eyes in thought before opening them again.
"Why are some rooms blocked off Doc?" he asked as he pointed back through the way he came. He wondered if he had possessions or even aliens on board but he found that highly unlikely although they were blocked off for a reason and he wanted to know why.
The male then gently yawned even though he was trying to suppress it. He then sighed gently as he looked around the TARDIS yet again. Owen didn't move but stayed in the same spot as he carried on looking. It really was an amazing ship, he wondered how many people had been in it.
He pushed himself off the wall with his back and looked at the console again, with its strange numbers and symbols. He wondered if he could ever fly this thing but he didn't want to try alone and break it, he knew that his luck he would. Owen might even kill the pair and blow up the TARDIS. It was he left well alone.

"Why are they blocked? Oh, that's just the TARDIS. They open when I need them." the Doctor answered carelessly, waving one hand and looking at Owen, standing up to stand next to the console.
He spotted Owen yawning, and narrowed his eyes in a half suspicious, half gentle gaze.
"Want to go to bed?" he asked, guessing that Owen might be tired.
He wasn't tired, but he knew from experience that humans got tired quite a bit. There wasn't really the same sense of time and routine on the TARDIS as there was anywhere else. If you were tired, you slept. If you were hungry, you ate. Maybe that was why the Doctor rarely felt that he had to sleep or eat. Sometimes he did it just for something to do. His body had grown to accept that as normal. But Owen would still need roughly the same amount of sleep.

"Now now Doc its only the second date" he told the male with a laugh before he looked up with a raised eyebrow. The medic wondered what to say, in truth he didn't usually go to bed, he would just do something until he drifted off but then again maybe he couldn't do that on the TARDIS. After all it was a ship and the Doctor usually got into trouble so maybe Owen would need sleep.
The male returned his eyes to the TARDIS console before he yawned gently again. Owen let out a small growl as he wanted to stay up and explore the ship but then again if he was traveling with the TARDIS then he could look around anytime. His body was refusing to back down yet his eyes kept closing with his mouth yawned. In truth he hadn't been to sleep for a couple of days yet but he got easily tired recently since being revived as he couldn't sleep so it was strange having to actually go to bed.
He shook his head to try and wake himself up he had to admit defeat and slowly stood to his full height before turning to face the Doctor. "Thanks for today Doc, it was great" he told him with a smile as he had definitely had some fun that day and adrenaline which he had missed for a long time. "Ok then looks like I'm off to bed" he muttered gently.

The Doctor rolled his eyes at Owen's insistence to turn everything into an innuendo. Honestly, he was almost as bad as Jack. Almost.
"Go on, you need your strength. I don't usually do much in the way of sitting around doing nothing. And you're obviously tired."
He nodded his head in the direction that Owen had come from to tell him to go back to bed. The Doctor himself didn't feel like sleep right now, but he could do some maintenance work in the TARDIS and maybe take a nap later.
"It'll still be here when you wake up." he insisted, not saying 'in the morning' because the TARDIS didn't really have the same structure of morning, afternoon and night.
Still, it had the added bonus of allowing you to eat breakfast at any time of the day. The Doctor considered making breakfast at some point. Owen was really going to look after himself, he wasn't the Doctor's pet and the Doctor knew that he'd probably forget to feed him and let him sleep if it was up to him. As he'd said to Zane, he was terrible with that sort of thing. That was why his ideal pet was a tin dog.

Owen raised his hand to give the Doctor a quick wave before turning around to walk back the way he had came. He had got changed for nothing really but oh well, he could wear them in the morning. He threw his clothes on a chair that sat near the bed he was about to sleep on, leaving him in his boxers.
The medic then climbed into the bed, pulling the soft sheets over him and connected his head with the fluffy pillow. He layed on his back looking up at the ceiling thinking for at least half an hour about what he had seen that day until he finally connected with sleep. "Night" he muttered to himself snuggling in the pillow and the sheets.
