Jenny was liking this world. So far, at least. The bright colours and scents of the alien market place where managing to make her whole body tingle with excitement. Must just be from being on another world. Not that she had known her own world that well, come to think of it. All she could really remember of Messaline now was running with him. And then leaving. Not much of a history, really.
But she didn't mind. Walking down the winding street, market stalls and sellers, strangely humanoid sellers, lining the walls, Jenny couldn't help but fell happy. The only slight problem she had found of this world, was that it was too hot. Two suns burning down at her were making it unbearable, seeing as she was utterly refusing to remove her khaki green jumper. Removing that would reveal the gun strapped to her waist, and this place looked peaceful. The little she had learned after landing her ship and walking out into the market, was that this place liked peace.
Well, more to the point, they hated violence. Same thing though.
The grin permanantly on her face, the small blonde skips over to the nearest stall, a deep blue and silver cloth gently hitting her legs as she reaches it. She runs her eyes over the array of jewelry and other sparkily things, before grinning at the seller.
"Hiya! Some of...That, please." She guestures wilding with a hand, indicating anything sparkily. She liked sparkily things. They made her feel happy, and made her laugh. Like she was doing now.

"You'll love it here. Love it. It's great." the Doctor insisted, mid-ramble, pulling up a panel in the floor and stepping down into the space below to root through boxes "I'm sure I bartered some currency last time I was here... aha!"
Triumphant, he held up a handful of copper coloured coins that weren't dissimilar to Greek drachma in appearance. They had holes in the middle and an elaborate pattern over the metal. He held a handful out to Rose.
"There. Don't spend them all at once. And don't clutter up my TARDIS with junk!"
This was of course despite the fact that he was currently literally wading in clutter in order to find the money for her. But hey, this was centuries worth of clutter. And it was categorised! Ish. He'd found the coins under M for Money, though it just as easily could have been under C for Coins or even logged under the name of the planet.
"Right! Retail therapy coming up! They do great little pastries here, sort of in the shape of surfboards, bargain."
He jangled some money cheerfully in his own fist, pulling a montera hat from the M box and examining it thoughtfully before placing it on his head. He tilted his head this way and that, considering it, and then shoved it back in the box.
"No, not my style." he said aloud "Not with this hair and this nose."
He jumped up from under the panel, kicking it shut and smiling at Rose before turning to the door, shoving the money in the pocket of his jacket. He'd chosen to forgoe his coat; inadvisable at this time of year.
"Voila!" he said, opening the door on the bustling, exciteable market planet.

Money. That was always a problem, Jenny had found out early on. She dug her hands into the bottom of the pockets of her combats, smiling sheepishly at the seller as he held a necklace in two hands. The necklace which she quite fancied, but which was quite expensive. Well, so she'd worked out by hand signals. The translater which had been inplanted into all the children of the machines as they had been 'born' took a while to kick in. So finding out the price had been rather hard. Not as hard as finding the money though.
"I've got...uh..."
Not a lot. She doubted empty bullet shells would go down well in replacement of whatever the currency was on this world. So instead, she sighs, stepping back from the stall.
"I'll come back later."
More waving of her hands managed to get that message across. She really had to do something to help that translater speed up. She'd figure it out when she had the time. Or when she wasn't getting so distracted by the pure...brilliance of this world. Trading worlds were brilliant. Anywhere which wasn't underground was brilliant.
The only thing which didn't seem to go along with that idea was a sort of blue...box, which caught her eye from the back of the crowd. It was odd. Sort of...fitting in, but then again, not. But this world was alien, she guessed. Those sorts of things were natural.
Still, she kept an eye on it, all the same.

Rose had smiled and watched the doctor bussling about amused. He was in good spirits and was going a mile a minute. She was following him quitely and grinned. "You're taking me shopping?" she asked, a blonde staring at them catchign her eye. "You realize taht that is dangerous.." she teased, moving to walk next to him and winked. "Make sure you save some for food okay?"

"We're not spending five hours looking at shoes." he warned her.
It was a bit of a superfluous statement since there didn't seem to be any shoe stalls anywhere around. Most people here were wearing sandals, or flip flop type shoes, and some were even daring to go barefoot. He watched in curiosity as they milled around, wondering how they were managing to do so without getting their toes stomped on.
"I said, didn't I? Pastries. Anyway, you can be in charge of food."
It wasn't like he really had to eat as much as humans. He could do, and could probably eat more, but then his body stored that energy for a long time as well.
Taking Rose's hand, he pulled her outside, and closed the door behind them.
"Though don't go wandering off!" he warned sternly, for about the millionth time.
Honestly, he'd taken Tegan and Turlough to some type of market world when he'd been blonde and obsessed with cricket, and he'd spent hours trying to find them again. Tegan had ended up getting herself kidnapped, the silly girl.

Jenny almost looked away at that moment, seeing as one of the stall holders had just called to her, waving some sparkily material in the air. But the corner of her eye was still on the strange blue box, so she saw the two people come out of it. Which was alright, she guessed. There was nothing wrong with randomly standing inside a box, after all. But then she turned her head fully, catching sight of the two people fully. And stopped.
A man and a woman. A blonde woman, and a tall man in a suit. A familier suit. Both her hearts seemed to stop just then, and she took a step to the side, trying to see better, ignoring the calls of the stall holder around her.
"It can't be..." she breathed, her eyes widening slightly. Seriously, it couldn't. So she really should stop looking. But she couldn't.

Smiling Rose gripped the doctor's hand and grinned, "Well in that case, lets head that way," she pointed unknowingly in the direction that Jenny was standing and started to drag him along.
"I'm not wandering off, not now at least. You have the money, so you're feeding me before I wander off," she teased, a piece of jewelry catching her eye. Dragging him along, she detoured over to it and dropped his hand. Smiling at the vendor she asked to see it. Holding it up it caught the light and she smiled.
"What do you think?" she asked, "Is it me?"

Huffing good naturedly and allowing Rose to tow him, the Doctor twisted slightly in her grip to get a good look at some of the stalls himself, wanting to nosy around the culture of the planet and maybe pick up a bargain. You never know. Though shopping was never really his thing.
"Alright, alright, slow down!"
He turned to look over a stall of bizarre looking instruments, picking one up and blowing lightly into the mouthpiece of a rotund flute, which immediately emitted a light, floaty and drawn-out sound, like somebody singing underwater. He put the instrument back down and turned to Rose.
"It's lovely." he said doubtfully, glancing over the stall of jewellery.
And then he looked up. And saw a girl standing there. A girl who looked so familiar within his mind as though she hadn't changed a bit since she was dying in his arms. Which made him even more certain that he was imagining things. He just stared.

Even though she had never yet come across one, she had heard of those planets which contained little microbes in the air, which simply made you feel like you were dreaming. And right now, Jenny was wondering whether this was one of those planets. How could it be him? The entire universe, the entire of time, he had said, and he turned up on the same planet as him? The part in the back of her mind which seemed to speak rather like he had during the short time they'd known each other was telling her that it can't be real. Either that or it had to mean something. But, as she had done so often, she was ignoring that voice.
Instead she took a couple of steps closer, not seeming to register the chattering growing behind her. She didn't register the blonde who was still with him now either, not that she could blame herself. Jenny still wasn't sure whether it really was him or not. What if it was? What was she meant to do, run towards him, holding out her arms, expecting a hug?
Or act all sly, drawing him away from the crowd before drilling him to find out whether he really was...No. She couldn't do that. Mainly because it was him. She was sure of it. It was her dad.
She drops the small piece of material that had been held in her grasps, ignoring it as it slowly falls to the ground, and ignoring the angry yells of the person telling her to pick it up. She's ignoring everything now, going with the first option. Her first idea. Barely pausing to think any longer she picks up speed, dodging through the crowd, heading towards him.
"Dad!"

He was completely ignoring the crowd by this point. Almost ignoring Rose, even, just to focus on the girl in front of him, who was seeming even more real by the passing second, as she moved towards him. It was her. But she was dead, so it couldn't be. But it was her!
Staying totally still as though frozen in shock, he only stirred himself to action when she was barely a few feet away.
"Jenny??" he asked, equally astounded and delighted, a broad grin spreading over his face.
((OOC: Sorry it's short, being kicked off the comp))

It obviously was him. He knew her name for starters, place, she could understand him! Well, either that or the translaters had switched on, but Jenny didn't think so, judging by the random words coming from all sides. Which Jenny was resolutely ignoring. The smile spreads even wider around her face as she breaks into a run, unable to believe it. Really, unable to believe it. Here! After he'd left...
"It is you!"
She wasn't dwelling on that now. Wasn't dwelling on anything. She was ignoring everything now, even the blonde haired woman standing by his side, examining the sparkily stff around them all. She was just running towards him, before jumping up, flinging her arms around him, and hugging him tightly. As if trying to tell herself that he really, really was real. And that this wasn't just a dream, and she'd wake up feeling alone, and lost. Again.

The minute Rose heard the word "Dad" cried she turned around and looked at him, watching hsi face. Looking between them she titled her head and wanted to say something, but she knew what it was like, so she stayed silent.
but not for long though, once they had finished with the whole "dear god you're here!" bit she smiled. She had to, Rose couldn't help it.
"Dad?" she asked, a smile in her voice. Whapping his arm lightly she chuckled a little, "Why didn't you tell me you had such beautiful children!"
she looked at the other blonde and smiled. "Hi, I'm Rose."

"And it's you!" he replied, not trying to be funny but equally astonished by the fact that she was here.
He laughed, wrapping his arms tightly around her in an affectionate hug, but also holding tightly onto her as though afraid that she was about to disappear again. Being taller than she was, it was easy to straighten up and lift her slightly off the ground, and he did so and then spun around with her before setting her back on her feet, still laughing. He thought he'd lost her.
"I didn't, I hadn't, I..." he said to Rose, his thoughts jumbled. "I thought..."
He turned back to Jenny.
"I thought you... I saw you die!"

Jenny shrieks slightly, as she feels herself being lifted off the ground, giggling just like a little girl. Like a child. Well, she was a child, technically, after all. Barely a year old. She was allowed like that, especially in moments like this. She didn't really want to let go of him when she felt her feet touch the ground again. Afraid that if she did let go, he just...wouldn't be there anymore.
But she does, sort of. At least she pulled away a little bit anyway, glancing over at the other blonde. And blinked, unable to place her face. Not that it mattered, of course, but still, she had liked the woman her father had been with before. The one who had named her.
"Hey...Rose." she says, trying not to make her voice sound too defensive. She didn't know the other woman, after all.
The statement about her dying brought her attention back to him. To her father, who she still couldn't believe was there.
"Well...I did. But that doesn't matter now. I'm here! And so are you!" she giggles, not wanting to dwell on the unpleasent details. Like dying. Which had been unpleasent.
