Tony wedged himself against the rail of jeans, tugging a suitable looking pair in his size from the hanger and folding it, his arms hidden in the folds of the other jeans, stuffing the denim up his oversized hoodie where it was almost camoflagued, and making sure that all of the people milling around the TK Maxx were busy focusing on something else. Nobody was looking at him. Good.
He needed new jeans desperately. The ones he was currently wearing were so badly torn at the knee that the rip went almost all the way around and was in danger of making him a pair of shorts.

Davey reached forwards and pulled the hooded jumper off the rails slowly, taking it and feeding it through his jeans to hide it as he went. The weather was turning colder and his older brother had taken the last jumper he had instead of beating the living daylights out of him.
It was nearing winter and he found himself in only a thin tshirt that was desperately old. He looked around checking there were no security guards nearby and made for the exit, snagging a pair of thick looking socks on his way out.

He could probably do with some other stuff and there were only so many shops in Cardiff. But he wasn't going to be here long, he reminded himself. There was no point in stocking up. As soon as the call came in to say that the Doctor was around, he was going home. Or... not home. Back in time, to get the Daleks.
But, he pushed a pack of boxers into the front pocket of his hoodie, since those were always helpful, and kept the peak of his cap pulled down over his face in case there was anybody who might recognise him, or a CCTV camera. And walked quickly right through the automatic doors, speeding up as the alarms pealed, and then legging it as soon as he got through the door.

Davey grabbed a pair of boxers on his way out and broke out into a run as the store alarms blared in his ears.
"Shite..." he muttered, trying to hold onto everything as he ran as fast as he could, not daring to look back in case one of the un fit security guards no doubt giving chase recognised him.
He could see another figure running out of the corner of his eye and they seemed to be headed in the same direction, so he kept his head down and stayed running.

Tony was vaguely aware of somebody else running nearby, and that only made him run faster in case it was security or somebody who worked for the shop, though he very much doubted that. Nobody who worked there was paid enough to chase after shoplifters.
But he chanced a glance and relaxed slightly when he realised it was another kid, and not wearing the uniform of the shop, and nobody else seemed to be following. Panting as he rounded the corner into an alleyway, he leant against the wall and took short, sharp breaths.

Davey ran as fast as he could and ended up down an alleyway, he almost collapsed against the grimy wall he was that out of breath. HE dared look up but didn't see any security guards following him, looks like he got away with it.
Then he heard someone, or something else panting at the other end of the alley.
"Who's there..." he said, in a strong a voice as he could summon at that moment in time.

Tony was almost doubled over as he sucked in breaths, but keeping his head tilted up to look around him as best as he could. Though he seriously doubted anybody would run after him now. They would give up by this point.
"Who's that?" he replied warily, straightening up with his back against the wall.
Much as it might be overly suspicious to see enemies at every turn, he still wasn't eager to shout his name down an alleyway. He wasn't supposed to be here, after all, and if what he'd heard about UNIT was true, then being overly cautious was not a bad thing.

Well he sounded like a person at least.... Davey thought to himself as he regrouped.
"I'm no one..." he said in reply, moving closer in the shadows to the voice, trying to get a better grasp of the situation, to see who he was trapped in an alleyway with.
It was a kid, just like him. Huh.

"Yeah, well, I'm no one too." he replied.
The hat kept his face hidden but it was too hot with it on, and his still messily dyed hair was sticking to his forehead. He pulled off the cap and ran his hand through his hair to rearrange it more neatly, tucking the jeans up closer to his chest, underneath his hoodie. And looked around for the source of the noise, wanting to see who else was there, and naturally wary.

Davey shifted slightly closer, curious about the other person who he thought he had seen running from the store at the same time as him.
"You were nicking at Tk Maxx when I was there..." he stated matter of factly.

"So? So were you." he said, at a guess, although he hadn't seen the other boy take anything.
He was pretty sure about it, though. Why else would the other boy have run away from the store, just as fast as he had? Tony straightened his cap back on his head and frowned, still poised in readiness to run if he had to.

"Might have been.." Davey said, shifting slightly to pull out the clothing he had shoved down his trousers. He surveyed the jumper before quickly pulling it over his head, "Gotta do what you've gotta do sometimes right?" he asked, wincing slightly as pain flared up through his shoulder when his brother had kicked him the night before.

"Yeah, that's right." he said, moving closer with his back still against the wall so that he could get a better look at the other boy properly.
He was probably younger than Tony was, he decided. In years, that was, because technically Tony hadn't been born yet. That was slightly reassuring, but he knew that he was getting naturally paranoid. He'd thought that humans were all on his side and Daleks were the enemy, but now he knew about UNIT as well...
But he doubted this kid was a threat. Though maybe he ought to lose him before he went home. Yeah, definitely. Just in case.

"I've seen you around." he said matter of factly, "I've seen you in Splott." Davey tended to hang around in places he wasn't noticed, tried to blend into the shadows where he could to save himself from any unwanted attention.
"You know Euan Jackson?" he asked, trying to make himself look bigger, more confident.

"What? Really?" he asked, looking sharply at him but trying not to show his surprise at that, since he shouldn't be admitting that he wasn't supposed to be there "Yeah, maybe. Don't live there or nothing, but I know people there."
He toyed with the silver chain around his neck, a little nervously, although there was no real reason for him to be. He wasn't doing anything wrong. But this whole universe, this whole time, it made him nervous.
"No. Dunno. Should I?"
